Review #1: Sound Advice that Works but.... 2005-04-24 Updating would be a good thing with recent changes in the FCRA. I read the reviews by others before I read the material myself. Seeing that other reviewers had looked into Bill Bauer who claimed to be an expert on the topic and gave a very negative review and I saw the book was sound raised my curiousity level and I Googled him as well. I think a new book about him would make fascinating reading. Please do not take the negative reviews seriously. They have an agenda.
Review #2: what it boils down to 2005-02-22 I am writing in response to someone who gave this book a bad rec. do to the book not telling him what the cb's use to calc your individual score. The fact is nobody knows. All 3 use their own system and they aint tellin. Besides many creditor will use other data on cb report, not just the score. best you can do is make sure cb info is correct and make all pmts by due dates.
Review #3: Junk 2005-02-15 Bierman has written several books on the subject of credit repair. Why? Why not write ONE book, and update it with new editions? Because he's basically nothing more than a credit repair agency operating as an author. None of his books is overly helpful, none of his books gives you any more info than a decent use of Google won't uncover. I want to know what REALLY effects my score. I want to know how removing a false collections report will effect my score. Will I find that kind of info in a Bierman book? Never.
Review #4: Beware of bogus reviewers 2004-02-23 I have not yet read this book and am giving it the average number of stars to keep from tilting the scales one way or another. I would just like to say that not all reviews are equal. Case in point, I did a Google search of "Bill Bauer" and "credit," and came up with some very strange results.Always read reviews with a grain of salt, espcially those from self-proclaimed "world's best experts bar none" on any particulare subject.
Review #5: Easy to Follow Advice on Credit Repair 2003-08-24 I bought this book on advice from How-to-get-credit.com I'd have to agree that the information is a little bit old, but it was good information none the less. |
