Question: #2: How do we report an unpaid civil judgement to the credit bureau?
We were awarded a civil judgement signed by a judge and filed with our local courts in Jackson County MO for $100,000. The defendant never paid this amount and we would like for this to show up on his credit report. I have been told unpaid civil judgements can be included in the personal section of a credit report but I am unable to find out how to get the credit bureaus to acknowledge this judgement and show it on his credit report. Can anyone tell me how to get this debt on his credit report?

Question: #3: How can I get my credit card company to report account information?
I got my credit report today and it shows that my total credit amount is $300 and I have $296 available. After further inspection I noticed that only one credit card had reported a credit limit/max balance and that all of my credit cards hadn't been reported since April. Is there an effective way to contact the credit card companies and get them to report accurate and up to date information to the credit bureaus? I feel that this issue is affecting my credit score, so I would like to fix this. Thanks in advance.

Question: #6: How do you dispute something on your credit report?
There are a few items which have been reaged by a collections agency and they cannot do that. The SOL has passed and they should be removed from my credit report. Also, when you view your credit report where is the "date of last activity"? All I see is the open date and last reported date. The last reported date can't possibly be the date to go by because then the companies can stay on your credit report forever. I have never had problems about stuff dropping off before but Capital One refuses to drop off and the three different collection agencies (for one card mind you) keep reporting a new date opened. This is ridiculous. How can I get them off? It has been 8 years now and they are still on there.

Question: #9: How fast do credit card companies report changes?
I have paid down some balances already for some time but the changes are not appearing on my credit report. I'm not pulling up my credit however, I have alerts when my scores go up or down or if there's inquiries etc. Do I have to ask them to report the change in balance? Why is it that when you rack up a ton of charges they report them really fast but when they're paid off, they take forever? Is there a way to "speed up" the process?I have paid them down but plan to keep the balances they have now (which are very low) instead of making more charges. Would writing to the credit card company make any difference?

Question: #10: What will my credit report show if I choose to settle an old credit card account with a debtcollector?
I would like to settle a few closed credit accounts that have been charged off and bought out by debt collectors. The collection agency is offering me a discounted rate to pay off this account. If I choose this option, will my credit report eventually show this account closed and paid off, as stated by the agency?

Question: #11: How is the "Average Account Age" in the Equifax credit report calculated?
I have a combination of Open, Closed, Revolving, consolidated and unconsolidated student loans, and a couple credit cards I have never used. I have averaged these in many different ways but have not yet arrived at the "Average Account Age" that is reported in the Equifax credit report. For those who haven't purchased their report, an "average account age" is given, and the longer it is, the better for one's credit score. Hopefully someone who has a simpler credit history can shed some light on how it is calculated. Thanks!

Question: #12: How often does Household Bank report to credit bureaus?
I recently got a Household Bank credit card in order to help build up my credit score. I have only used the card for small purchases and have paid off the balances for 2 months (the amount of time I've had the card) but no payments have shown up on my credit report as of yet. I was under the impression that Household Bank reported to the credit bureaus every month. Does anyone know when the payments might show up?

Question: #13: How long does it take for credit card latenesses to fall off one's credit report?
I've heard that "baddies" stay on a credit report for 7yrs from the date of first delinquency. In 2002, I had a Visa lateness recorded on my credit report. Next to the lateness, it said "due to stay on credit report until 3/2005" which is only 2.5yrs not 7. Then in spring 2005, the lateness vanished from my credit report! (hooray!)But in early 2005, I fell into financial problems again(job loss) and a few more 30day credit card latenesses got recorded on my credit report. In the past month, one of these 30day latenesses has vanished from my TransUnion report, along with any mention of the account(which is a good thing, since it's been closed and was only open a short time anyway; the account was not beneficial to my Fico score)I was wondering if the remaining 30day lates will disappear from my report once they hit the 2.5yr mark? Or, have the credit reporting regulations changed since 2002, and I will be stuck with them for the next 4.5yrs? Any experience w/ cc lates?

Question: #19: Is there a difference between the credit report a creditor sees and your full report on file withthe 3 CRAs?
Correct me if I'm wrong but when you "pay for deletion" you are paying for any record of the debt to be 100% removed from the report that a potential creditor would see (like when you buy a car or credit card) . --BUT the debt is never actually deleted from the credit report that you and the CRA have access to. So, there are actually 2 forms of credit report: one that potential creditors see, and one which only you and the CRA see.Is this correct??I am asking because in previous answers to my "pay for deletion" questions, alot of people are saying that debts are never 100% deleted from credit reports. So that makes me wonder what the phrase "pay for deletion" means exactly? Thanks!

Question: #21: How does your presence in ChexSystems affect your credit report?
I got reported to ChexSystems two years ago, when a purchase came to my account after I had closed it. I repaid my debt, but they told me that I'll stay in ChexSystems for 5 years after the incident date. This would cause me problems oppening checking accounts, but I was wondering how does this relate to your credit report? Does this consitute bad credit, since it wasn't related to credit at all, but to NSF activity. Would I be able to obtain a secured credit card?

For example, if the credit card company changes your account number and moves everything to a new account, does your credit report now say that the old account is closed and you just opened a new account? I'm trying to figure out if you lose your old credit history when you do this----especially if this is an account you've had for a while, and therefore is one of your oldest accounts since alot of credit is based on how long you've had things.

I had a lien on my credit report, and I paid it about three months ago. It was still on my report, so I reported it to the credit beaura. They investigated it and said it will be reported as satsified/released. However I thought it would be taken off my report. I checked my report a week after the investigation and in the status category, there isn't anything written in it. Does it take a while for them to update the credit report? When will the lien be taken off?

In todays world it seems as long as you pose as a business you can access information on anyone you want.
