Question : Is it possible to transfer credit card balances to others' credit card accounts?
Situation: Person A has multiple credit card balances on high interest credit cards and Person B has a credit card with a much lower interest rate. Due to a poor credit history, Person A can't obtain a low interest credit card. They've agreed to transfer it to Person B's low interest credit card and have Person A pay Person B the monthly payments to make it easier to pay down their high interest balances. Is this possible?

Answer #2
It doesn't matter what the situation is, theanswer is always no. Even married people can'ttransfer credit card balances to each other'scards unless they are both cardholders. Being anauthorized user doesn't count either. You have tobe the actual cardholder on both cards to transferbalances from one to another.

Answer #4
one way to do it is to get a cash advance on thecard with a lower rate and use it to pay off theother cards. Person B will need to REALLY trustperson A, though

Answer #5
I think in this case person B would need to add Aas an authorized user on the account and then thetransfer can take place. Most companies will nottransfer debt if the names on the account aredifferent, but if person A is authorized on theaccount then there should be no problem and alsoperson A could then check the balance remainingwhen ever and also make payment on line with outhaving to bother person B. Good luck and I hopethat I have been able to help.
