Question : How do I get a company credit card removed from my personal credit report?
My company credit card is showing on my personal credit report. As most of you know, the credit card company asks for your social security# when you are issued a company card with your name on it. I am an employee only & have no personal responsibility to the debt. Even though the account is in excellent standing, it makes my credit-to-debt look sky high! How do I get it removed from my personal credit report?

Contact the consumer credit reporting agencyimmediately. The company is then responsible forresearching and changing or removing incorrectdata. This process may take as long as 45 days. Atyour request, a corrected report will be sent tothose parties that you specify who have receivedyour report within the past six months, oremployers who have received it within the last twoyears. If the reporting agency stands by it'sfindings, you have the right to present your sideof the story in a brief statement (100 words orless), which the credit bureau must attach to yourcredit file. Your statement should be used toclarify inaccuracies, not explain reasons fordelinquency. Anyone requesting a copy of yourcredit report would also automatically receiveyour statement (or a summary of it), unless thecredit bureau decides that it is irrelevant orfrivolous.

Answer #3
You might want to make sure that you truly aren'tresponsible. Most companies today get you thecorporate credit card but YOU are responsible forpaying the bills and then, you submit yourreceipts and the company reimburses YOU. This wasdone at one place that I worked at. Double-checkyour employer's policy - especially since you hadto put your SSN on the application.

Answer #4
You need to check to see if your SSN is on theaccount or the company's TIN is. If the TIN is onthe account, it shouldn't affect your credit, ifit is your SSN, you are stuck for it. I would askmy boss to have my account paid off & closed, if Iwere you. This way you would lose that c2d ratioissue.
