The smartest insurance is term. Stay away fromwhole life because it is not a good investment. Most any insurance requires you to be insured forat lease 2 years before they will pay for suicide. However, you may be better served by therapy ifyou are contemplating suicide.

Netty, I am more concerned with you rather thanyour family. Your family needs you, not any moneythat could be gotten by an insurance policy. I donot believe there are many companies out there whocover suicde inside first two years. In almost allcases, the period for waiting is two years. If Ieven knew of one I would not let you know becauseit is more important for you to remain here, withyour family, then in the ground and your familyhaving money because you passed.I am begging you-Please seek help!!! I am a father to a month oldson and a two year old daughter. If you are aparent, go seek help IMMEDIATELY!!! I will pray toGod that He grants you strength and love enough totake care of yourself so that you may continue tolive and take care of your family. In love. Mark S.

None of them pay out in the contestable period, which is usually two to three years, depending onwhat state you are in.So it looks like you'll haveto go to plan B. I'd suggest by talking out yourdifficulties with your pastor.

In addition to the top answers, if they find thisstatement when paying a death claim, it could beconsidered fraud. Not only would they loose themoney, they may even get sued worse case. What everyour problem is, there is always a way out. Suicide is not it. It only creates more problemsfor those that are left behind.Suicide is also aselfish answer to life's problems.
