Question : Is there a legit company out there than can repair credit?
I have heard about credit repair companies that can get negatives off your credit report but have heard that there are alot of frauds out there too. So has anyone actually tried one that works?

Do it yourself. Nolo Press has a book on "CreditRepair." Either buy it or go to the library. Also, a great book is "Good Credit is Sexy."Iwouldn't pay anyone to do it. It would cost toomuch.Good luck.

Answer #2
The only true repair for legitimate bad debts/latepayments/etc is time. Anyone that tells aconsumer that they can make that default on acredit card go away is committing fraud. Now, ifyou have items on your report that are notcorrect, you can fix them yourself by contactingthe credit agency. If you get a copy of yourcredit report online there is usually an optionfor each item to dispute the validity.
