All Answers: Answer #1 Your ss# questions are something that can only beanswered by the Social Security Administration! You need to enroll in a credit monitoring servicelike Equifax 3 in 1. You can get a free copy ofyour credit report, but I know you are going tofind errors and negative items you MUST disputeand challenge for removal! A free report is onlygood once a year and for 30 days and you are goingto need to access your reports longer thanthat!I've been through ID theft myself and afterbankruptcy I still got my score up from amiserable 486 to a 730 in a little over a year, soI know about this subject well!Go to my websiteand read it all because I uncover scams and fraudsas well as methods to dispute negative items. thisis something you can do yourself! Good luck toyou! No one should have to go through this, but ithappens! I have one real hope for my website, andthat is that is does help people like you and me!Orchard Bank would be a good credit card for thissituation once you put a fraud alert on yourcredit file! The phone numbers to do this for all3 credit bureaus are on my site too! - answered by Duane
Answer #2 It sounds to me like you have a security freeze onyour information. You can get new credit, butyou'll have to unfreeze your credit first. It'snot hard to do but will cost up to $10 at eachcredit bureau (depends on your state). It's alsogoing to take a week or so to get it done. - answered by Ceebee
