So you don't end up bouncing 1000 checks in yourlifetime and wind up working until your deadbecause you can't afford to retire.

It is important to study it out for yourselfbecause it is not taught in schools. So mostpeople learn it from their families. And if youcome from a poor or middle class family, then thechances are you do not have adequate financialeducation. Unless you are looking for a career infinance, you probably don't need to study it in auniversity. The main reason one would want tostudy this topic is for personal development.
