All Answers: Answer #1 This is highly dependent on the area...forexample, hurricane- or flood-prone areas have veryhigh premiums, and some insurance cos. won't eventake you. If your imaginary home is not at riskfor those types of things, i would estimate onaverage about $1,000 per year, but that's largelya guess. - answered by JoJo

Answer #3 Just go to www.Allstate.com and use the get aquote function. The insurance on the home is goingto be based upon:-Replacement cost to buildit-Claim history-Applicable discounts (burglaralarm, smoke detectors, etc)-Insurance andFinancial Stability score (not usually done inonline quotes)-Where the home is located (is it onthe beach in a hurricane prone area? or middle ofKansas?)-Protection Class (based on proximity andquality of the neareby fire depts.) - answered by Crighton
Answer #4 Homeowners Policies generally are written for a period of one year and renewed at that interval. However you can pay most likely on a monthlybasis. Rating a homeowners policy ( or dwellingpolicy) generates many different questions beforea rate can be generated. This home is 2-story - 5bedrooms- 4.5 baths with a pool and finishedbasement. The criteria used would be asfollows..Where is the home located? If it issituated in city limits..lets say a city the sizeof Minneapolis then the fire rate would be lessthan a house a rural area 20 miles from thenearest fire dept. Home rates are based onterritory of nearest responding firedepartment.Another question is how old the homeis. Todays costs of construction is greater tobuild a home than 10-15 years ago. We need theage. Also is it a brick home? or frame. Rates needthe construction class. Obviously the rate wouldbe cheaper if it was brick vs. frame (stick buildconstruction(.Insurance rates are debited orcredited on what surround or what is in the home.In this case you have a pool. The rate would besurcharged. also, if you have a certain kind ofdog ( shephard, dobberman etc) for the liabilitycoverage. The occupants credit rating now days is another factor insurance companies look at todetermine qualification and rating. If thehomeowner has a credit score of 800 then the ratewould be better than a homeowners with a score of550.This is do to the payment and financialstability perspective. These are a few of the mainquestions to determine rates for homes. I can notproperly give a home rate ( estimate) with out atleast these answers. - answered by DFK

Answer #6 It doesn't work that way. Rates are HEAVILY basedon your credit score, and the cost to rebuild thehome. You also need to know how old the houseis. You can't buy homeowners insurance for onemonth at a time. If you're doing a budget for aschool project, figure $2500 a year for insurance, but that's a WAG (wild a** guess). Figureproperty taxes at 3 - 4 times that, for yourschool project. - answered by mbrcatz17
