Turn them over, your not taxed until you cash themin.

First, make sure your ee bonds are no longerearning interest. The original maturity date isoften 30 years, but extensions are made for up to10 more years, depending on when it was purchased.EE Bonds cannot be "turned over". You either holdthem or cash them. If you cash them, the gain issubject to federal tax. To check your ee bondsvalue and to see if it is still paying interest,go to the attached link and enter the informationon the bond.
