Question : How do you sell real estate property when it is owned by six people and it was left in a will to all of you?
Three members of the family want to sell the property while it has some value and the other three members do not want to sell.

Hire a real estate attorney. If all six own theproperty equally, the ones who want to keep it canpay the others equal 1/6th vale of the property.

You can't. But the 3 who don't want to sell canbuy the other 3 out, if you can have a meeting ofminds.

You might want to consider having the three whowant to keep the property buy out the other three.

No easy answer here -- but it depends ... on thesize of the property (is there a way to partitionit in shares to each of those who inherit interestin it?), the current zoning (Residential,whatever), restrictions in the deed, and the termsof the Will ...
