Well, there's a difference between debtconsolidation and debt management. It probablyisn't a good idea to take out another loan to payfor all your other debts, because it is likely youwill continue to spent on credit. If you mean oneof those debt counseling places, well, I thinkthat is a wonderful place to go. Go towww.consumercredit.com They will work with yourcreditors to help lower your interest rates andyou will just pay one monthly payment. However, your accounts will be closed and you will nolonger be able to charge anything. Oh, thiscompany does charge a monthly mainenance fee, butyou will still likely save money. It can't hurtto check it out anyway. Good luck!

be careful with a debt consolidation loan. realistically you will end up paying no less, infact you will probably actually pay more. i willtry to tell you what a debt consolidation loandoes.example:your credit card payments at themoment are $10,000you take out a debtconsolidation loan and spread that $10,000out overthe next 3-5 yrs. That makes it seem like you arepaying less because your payment has gone down toabout $200 per month which may seem moreaffordable to you. The downfall: they will makemore money off of you in the end because ofinterest. you will continue to pay for thingsthat you bought today for the next 3-5 years.Myadvice: take a look at what you really make andcome up with a budget for yourself. if you are aspender it is hard to do. however when you findyourself paying off the bills yourself it is avery rewarding feeling. give yourself a weeklyallowance just like your parents used to and stickto it. pay cash for everything from now forward. if you don't have the money to pay for it rightaway then you can't afford it.also: if you do get"your debts eliminated" and they just dissappearthen you will probably continue to get into moredebt. hard work is the only answer. justremember it only takes 21 days of serious work tochange your habits.

leave the debt counseling alone, they will screwyou over, also stop spending immed. buy only whatyou need not what you want, also, maybe you couldsell some items and only keep what you need tolive, it has been done before, a couple was indebt and they sold their house and every thing init right down to the linens, they rented a smallapartment for a while bought used furniture fromgoodwill, did not have cable TV nor internet andused a payphonr for emergcy only, before long theypaid of their debt and were able to purchase a newhome and pay cash for new furnishings or takeadvantage of layaways, if that is too much of asacrifice or you are so deep in debt you may wantto consult an attorney to inquire aboutbankruptcy, however in some states chapter 7 bank.is no longer allowed or should i say is treatednow like a chapter13, chap 7 was when you couldpay an attn.1200 to 1500 and they file all thepapers and the debt is considered done andforgotten, (except it is on your credit for 7years) chapter 13 is where you pay an attn. 100 to200 to start papers and they set up pyment to atrustee that pays all your disposable income tocreditors for 3 to 5 years , if debt is not allpaid off in 5 years it dosnt matter, it is doneand over with (except on file for 7 years)disposable income is determined after all basicdaily living expences are deducted, such as rentfood clothing gas toiletries cleaning supplieseven entertainment, so you may have a tight budgetbut but you will get on without creditorsbothering you and no more interest charges, youmust also surrender your income tax return duringthe time you are in bankruptcy, however if yourcar breaks down and you need a new one to get backand forth to work you can subpoena the trustee tostop garnishment for a time while you get a newcar or subpoena to keep your tax return topurchase a car or repair it, its hold true for thesame should your home need new plumbing or roofneeds fixin..... good luck
