Answer #14 it seems obvious from the previous response to thequestion that a tax would simply be unessacary. so no, I would most deffinately not support a tax, though it seems that there is more than enoughsupport for the issue to lead to solutions in theprivate sector, instead of creating moregovernment programs and taxes. - answered by lsquad70
Answer #15 $2 a yr is quite little, so there shouldnt aproblem to most. Anyway, I find that it is moreimportant to educate people regarding neuteringtheir pets and being responsible adults. I meanprevention is better than cure. - answered by cclo
Answer #16 no... this country is absolutely full of untakencare of domestic animals mainly dogs and i wouldpay about 1000$ a year to have a license to goaround and shoot them at will. ... any dog not ina fenced in yard and running around a neibourhoodneeds to be put out of its misery. domesticanimals do not concern me in the least and i cantbelieve they waste as much money on them as theydo. wild natural animals are another story ... iwould pay a few dollars a year to keep up thehabitats and protect wild animals. - answered by dzeyoyo123
Answer #17 no doubt about it . well worth the 2 bucks and abetter use of funds than a city using tax dollarsto conduct a study on the feasibility of moving anold transfer house back to the original locationit was taken from to begin with. - answered by greg f
Answer #18 Yes and Yes. I wouldn't mind seeing it as a scalein that if you clear a certain amount it is onenumber while if you clear another amount it isanother number. So if you can afford it and youwant to give more than 2 dollars you can. The samecan be true for many other charity's...I wouldrather have my money go to them than to thegovernment.Charities run themselves on a very leanlatter, unlike the government, what if thegovernment had to compete with the charities fortheir monies also? - answered by cashflow_2000

Answer #28 thats a good idea, I would - answered by Lindsay
Answer #29 Taxes? Definitely NOT! Government-run programsare often the worst, most wasteful way to doanything. Tax breaks for vets are a good idea, but many already do low-cost spay & neuter throughprograms likePAWS. http://www.paws.org/cas/spaydaylist.phpPeopleshould be free to donate their own money to theplaces that do the most good, like the ASPCA ortheir local shelters (not PETA!!)Education aboutpets should be mandatory in elementary schools. Why don't you volunteer to teach a seminar forlocal kids about how to properly care for andtrain a dog, and explain why they shouldn't bebred. That is the place to STOP the problems -not by having more no-kill shelters, which oftenbecome like zoos for unwanted dogs. - answered by Dog_trainer
