Question: What is the lowest interest rate credit card that I can apply for?

Home  » Interest Rate

Question : What is the lowest interest rate credit card that I can apply for?
I currently have a 17.99% APR credit card. I've had it for almost a year now. 11 months to be exact. I want to go to a lower interest rate card. Does anyone know a good low interest rate card?

It all depends on your score, but give a try toWashington Mutual, Capital One or Orchard Bank. All recently gave me a 0% APR for 12 months. WithWashington Mutual it helps if you have achecking/savings account with them, since then youcan pay the stuff immediately online.

Answer #2
Call the credit card you have and ask them toreduce your rate. If they won't then is the timeto get another one. 17.99% is outrageous.

There are a lot of credit card companies that willadvertise cards at 0% interest, but it is usuallyonly for a limited time after you get it. You haveto read the fine print before applying. You may beable to negotiate with your current credit card toget a lower rate. I would start there and see ifthey are willing to keep you as a customer.Sometimes just threatening to take your businesselsewhere will convince them to do something!!

Answer #4
check out online all of the credit cardcompanies....look for one with 0%...those are hardto come by, and the 0% is for a limited time...butits good while it lasts. Your interest rate isdetermined by how much of a credit risk you are,so the better your credit, the lower your rate. YOu can apply online for most places...just shoparound. Look for one with no annual fee too!
