Question : What would you do if you suspect you were a victim of identity fraud?
I was checking my bank account statement online and there were charges that I never made. Should I open another bank account? I already filed a complaint with Experian. I'm worried.

You should let your bank know immediately. Theycan tell you if it's your debit card or check orATM. Whatever it is, they need to cancel that andgive you a new one. They should also give you acredit for the amount if you can convince them itwas not by you. The bank and you can determine ifyou need a new account or not.

Immediately contact your bank and denounce thesemysterious charges and ask you be given anotherchecking account and close the old onecompletely. If you feel these are fraudelentcharges made, your local police department mightbe interested in looking at who made them. I'dcall them too. Have handy any documentation fortheir investigation.
