Question : What is a good credit card to get that you almost will never get turned down for?
I currently have two credit cards, but would like to get one final one. I've been getting turned down for a few recently that I thought sounded good. What are some good cards and websites where I can get a credit card that almost every gets approved for? I'm young(21) and trying to establish some more credit. My friend got approved for a Best Buy credit card tonight and his credit isn't that good. However, I just want a main card(for example: visa, discover) and not a store card. Thanks for any help.

Answer #2 a few months ago I went to a local check cashingplace and, for $9.95, bought a pre-paid Visa. Youcan put as much money on it as you want and use itanywhere you want. I only use mine online becausewhen used in a store, you incur a $1.50 financecharge for each use. HTH - answered by confused24

Answer #4 The sure-fire way of NEVER being turned down for amajor credit card would be to apply for securedcredit card. Basically what type of card this is,is that you give them money up front (say you askfor a $500 limit), and everytime you use thatcard, the money will already be in your accountwith that card and it will just come out. Thissecures to both the credit card company and toyourself that the money will always be in there, therefore there will never be any over-ages, latefees, and the the like and will guarantee you astrong credit building account. Answer #5 if you are getting turned down for cards, then Isuppose your credit rating must be turning sour, and i have good guess why.If you goal is toestablish a good credit rating, then you are doingjust about the exact opposite of what you need todo. Credit scores are based on the total amountof credit you have as a ratio of your totalincome. So for example, if you have one card witha credit line of $3000 (with an income of say,$25,000) your credit will be much better thanhaving three cards with a total of $9000 (with thesame income). Following me?If you want toestablish good credit, you need only one card thatyou use responsibly over a period of years. So,yes, it is good that you have a card, but there isno need to get others. You were likely approvedfor the first two on the basis of a fairly neutralcredit score. Now that you have the theoreticalcapacity to go on a shopping spree bender with2(!!) cards, the companies are morereluctant.Advice: cancel the card that you havegotten most recently, and use the other cardresponsibly-- paying your bill every month, ontime. That's how you are going to establish goodcredit, not by filling up your wallet with lots ofplastic. - answered by katunich
